ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

It seems that about half the time I have a character thawing from a freeze attack, the a CPU is pinned and the game freezes. The game hasn't returned from whatever it's doing for up to 15 minutes. I stopped being patient about it after two or three times.

I'm playing on OSX 10.7, MacBook Pro 13", running b34.

What class were you playing?

It's a Higher Arcane Blade. It's happening in the underwater ruins... Forgetting module name...

Yeah, Arcane Blades have problems with being frozen. It's probably Arcane Combat; try disabling it while frozen. I'm pretty sure it's fixed in the next version.

Its probably too late for this current character, but if you can play an arcane blade without that arcane combat sustain, you won't run into this crash.

Ah. All good, then. I didn't know this was a known defect.

I've extracted the character from the ruins and gotten it killed elsewhere, so the problem's moot for me at a practical level.

On the other hand, this looks like a tight loop, and I'm wondering if it is...
