You can't level up in the infinite dungeon if you enter it after beating the game. Presumably this is because you are over level 50 / 100%.

I don't see how this is a bug, technically.

I think the point is to see how deep you can get as a level 50 character until you get slaughtered by hilariously overpowered NPCS?

Though I do think someone in the past suggested allowing a higher level limit in the ID? But DarkGod was(...as far as I recall) against it.

I thought that player level was unrestricted for characters that start in the ID (and they get a cat point at 40 and 50, among other bonuses). This can be fixed (changed?) by altering the player's max level in the console.

Oh...Looks like I was wrong and you were right, and it was indeed changed - if you start in the ID, you CAN level up after 50(though with decreased benefits), and you get cat points at level 30 and 40. This is handled in worlds.lua.

So yes, players entering the ID after winning should get the same benefits.

Nope, it only affects characters starting in the ID and was specifically set like this by DG. If you venture into the ID after winning then it's to test your winning set-up against the merciless pits of infinity.
