[b33] No XP from Monsters finished off by traps or other NPC

Since ToME is a single-player game, it makes sense that any hostile creatures killed during play (even if they lose their last few HP from a trap or beam attack from a monster behind them) should still give the player full experience. Maybe I'm incorrect about this happening, but I do remember having a random unique finished off by the mummy lord behind it using an attack rune, and I didn't get even 1% xp change when for similar monsters I had got 3-10%+ before that (lvl 11 killing lvl 30-35 monsters).

I don't know how to use debug commands or how to turn on verbose combat messages, but if there's an easy way to do this (without being cheatery) that would be handy :)

Keep in mind, the xp value is represented via a % value - you can hover over it to see the actual numbers. There's a very good chance that you gained less than 1% of the xp that you needed to level up, but still gained xp.

I posted a similar issue recently [now fixed]. Enemies killed by some types of traps would not drop alchemical ingredients. I've often wondered if an enemy killed exclusively by nightshade and explosion traps actually gives me experience, but I haven't tested to confirm.

I have been playing a lot of rogue trap specialists, killing most of their enemies with traps, and they've definitely been gaining experience from trap kills.

To clarify: I'm talking about traps that are pre-existing in a level (in these cases, elven ruins), and/or damage from a hostile enemy's bone spear or rune: heat beam or other such ability 'finishing off' monsters in between them and the player.

When I get home I'll confirm with a savefile which I specifically copied for another reason (splash trap hurting a monster without alerting it) and check xp on hover before and after. ;)
