Golem sometimes randomly loses its armor training

Twice now the golem has randomly lost its ability to put on armor. The first time it was solved by putting a point into golem resilience, but now I don't have a point to spare. I can send my save if you'd like.

Later checked my golem, noticed that it could still wear chain mail, so it turns out its armor mastery was arbitrarily lowered to 2... with all side effects. Hardiness greatly decreased, same with armor bonus.
Now, it can suddenly wear plate again, and the bonuses are restored back. What the hell? I still have a save of the borked golem copied, in case its needed. Though at this rate its likely to happen again.

No, I don't know when it happened. I only noticed it when I went to change its armor and it couldn't swap out its mail for plate.
