ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

If the golem uses pound with you near, you get hit for the damage it does, and can be dazed like everything else pound hits.

Edit: Not sure, but I think it might be hitting anything near its starting point as well.

Also, replacing Bill's Trunk on golem with a slime-covered dwarven-steel greatsword of daylight didn't help. At all.
