b31, Creeping Darkness in the arena leads to error messages

Not sure how or why this onset, but Creeping Darkness somehow led to error messages in the arena. It may have been a consequence of using it near the map edge/while a door was open. Saving and reloading made it a lot worse, I'm now getting around eight error messages every time a turn passes. Otherwise, there are no other issues.
Incidentally, is there a way to disable error messages? I'm right at level 30 of the short arena :/.
