ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I am able to activate the Juggernaut ability on my "charged iron gauntlets of the juggernaut" despite not wearing them. Strangely, my "dwarven-steel gauntlets of the juggernaut" cannot be activated in this manner, nor can any other items with the new ego activations that I've found so far. I'm assuming this is a bug.

Maybe it is because of the 'charged' ego?

I thought about this, but I haven't found any other "charged" items with activations to test this theory yet. Plus, it only sounds half-plausible to me.
