[b30] User Interface go bye bye

Daikara level 1. Saw some monsters around a corner, and the game slowed WAAAAAY down. Took about 2 minutes for the screen to start updating again. I was able to play about 3-4 turns after that, with a delay of about 20 seconds per turn. Then the UI went completely away. Everything that was not the main map was black. My particle effects were still updating. I could not do anything -- no keys were doing anything, and no mouse clicks were doing anything. (Although I think there was a slight "click" sound if I left-clicked on one of the visible monsters.)

The end of the log file was full of Particle emitter errors. I tried to scroll up to where they started. It looks like this spot:

Code: Select all

Chat never stopped coming in. I can still see it appearing in the tail -f'd logfile window. I just can't say anything back (would require a UI).

Do you have the full log?
I saw it happen a few times too but I can't seem to find the common element yet
