ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

While fighting a group of adventurers on the world map, I got killed and sent to Eidolon (they fight back now!) and upon my return from Eidolon, the map looked all weird, and then TOME crashed to the desktop.

It had to be in b27. They were fighting back well enough to kill me, right?

b27, still crashing if returning in the rogue hideout from eidolon plane.

Ok I reallllly need gdb stacktraces then :/

Note that this also happens when returning from the Fearscape to an ambush map. I now have gdb and core dumps enabled, so I'll have a good bt if it happens again.

just ran into this a couple of times, once from the Theives Den, once in old forest i think.
Interesting tidbits.
1) All lit squares are colored white
2) Game crashes on second move

EDIT: Happened on Thieve's Den again - this time, all squares were "P"s and of course crashed after a couple of moves. This is happening fairly frequently at this time. Are you guys sure this isn't a feature designed to get people to play Hardcore more

Hey DG - would it be possible to get a "B" release with this fix? It's really happening quite frequently. Not the end of the world if that's not possible, just save before you are about to be killed and cross your fingers
