Is the duration of freeze effect increased by default? i got frozen for at least 6 turns against the shade and the boss of the storming the city quest (can't remember the name) with the result they can easily kill my char. Maybe is too much 6 turns defenseless?

I agree.
At least with my experiences so far.
This might of course change when/if one get a feeling how to better deal with it.

I was actually pretty relieved to see the new freeze was less deadly than the old one... the only part which seems strange is the 'no healing allowed' and it should probably be removed/reworked.

Is still deadly, being frozen and then can only wait the effect expires, while the boss wildly cast spells wich damage don't seems to be reduced by the ice (if i got the point of the modify)

That's not true. There's a variety of things you can do:
a - the ice has hp and you can just break it down attacking.
b - Infusion Wild: magical removal - You need it to remove most forms of confusion so you should be carrying this anyway.
c - Phase door or teleport and wait it out or something.

I had the same thing with phase door.

I've also yet to figure out how to attack the ice directly... I'm not sure if the frozen damage shield is working or not, but I've survived every frozen encounter I've had, so it's not been too bad. Still, if the duration scales particularly high I can see it being incredibly lethal out east.

Edit: One suggestion would be to bring back the sliding duration scale with stun res %. At the moment it has the old problem of 90% not being enough. Personally I think all % resistances should be the same.

Grey, use the Attack talent (I mapped it to a keystroke) to attack the ice.

As I stated in another thread, for the few b26 chars I played, I could not break the ice fast enough to prevent the Shade from torching my characters. It seems to me that between the freeze duration, ice hps (even with attacking the ice it took at least four turns to break free), and spell cooldown the Shade has gone from a "rite of passage" for new characters to a serious challenge for the unprepared.

I think that what makes encounters with enemies that freeze such a challenge now is that stun no longer completely immobilizes, so that even after my characters broke free they couldn't stop the Shade from freezing them again. Higher level characters should be better equipped to deal with being frozen, I would imagine.

I can't imagine how would be to figt wrathroot now, but as i am seeing it could be faster to just delete my char, since i'd probably keep perma-frozen on place. OT: can someone tell me if is possible to keybind items as well as skills? i see the orb of scrying mapped, but can't find the way to keybind some else like boots of rushing etc.

To keybind items open the inventory, hover the cursor over the item in question (or use the arrows keys to highlight it) and then press the keybinding you want to use for it (#, ctrl+# or shift+#).

For Wrathroot getting a wild infusion that removes magical effects definitely seems like the way to go. Anorithils and Sun Paladins also have Providence to help them out.

Mages have disperse magic.

And yes, the cooldown being lower than the duration should probably be changed

Press I for your inventory screen, cursor over ( or mouse over) the equipment you want to keybind, and press the number or number combination you want it to have.

eg Boots of Rushing --> Shift 7

To remove an existing keybind, press Tab if needed so the talents page is listed at the lower right screen, mouse over the required keybind, and press the Right hand mouse button.

For me this fails. They spend the rune, but doesn't move me at all.
