[b26] Two events at once

I moved to talk to the novice mage, and at the same type got the Lost Merchant quest. I accepted the quest (it was the message at the top), changed maps, then continued with the mage's dialog. I finished giving him all the items needed and got an error at the end. Closing the error screen did nothing, another appeared immediately, I had no other recourse but to kill the process.
