Storming the City won't continue

I went to the town to do this quest, killed a bunch of the baddies, but started to get overwhelmed, so I ran out of the city, rested, and went back in.
No storm, no baddies, townsfolk are back. Tried going straight to the mage lady. Nothing. Looks like the quest won't go forward any more.

That has always been an issue, it is not limited to beta 25 (or 24, if you're still playing it)

Maybe there could be a warning message before you leave.
"Will you really leave the town to it's fate? The battle will be decided without you..." or something like that, so at least there's no surprise. Then, between this and the new thundercloud graphic, you'll know what you are getting...

leave the town to its fate? It's a bug that Derth returns to its original state during Storming the city, not a feature. And a really rare bug at that. Dunno what causes it myself, been trying to get it just to see if my logs would shed any light. Haven't been successful thus far.

The bug's rare for you? I've never had it not happen over quite a few times.

I honestly don't see how a warning would be at all helpful. If you're in any condition to actually finish and survive the battle, you wouldn't be leaving the town in the first place.

Er.. yeah. Ran away maybe 2-3 times over the last few betas, but in general I've had a good enough clue of how easy it'd be to do the quest. None of the times that I fled resulted in the bug. General rule of thumb was "If I survive the first group, stay and kill them all." Plenty of LOS-breaking stores and the like, only needed to run when I got more than just whatever little group after me.

Well, you might want to try and risk it, maybe lose a life or two if in adventurer difficulty, esp. if you haven't yet suceeded in finishing the quest.
As for this being a rare bug - not for me it isn't either

Got first b25 character to electrified Derth, tried to get bug to show up but no good (left Derth, moved far enough away to get stormcloud to disappear)... log says "[COROUTINE] error cannot resume dead coroutine" at a few points, maybe this has something to do with it?
