ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I extracted tonnes of gems in Angolwen with my Shaloren Alchemist, only to discover at the end that none of them appeared in my equipment list!

They won't be in your equipment list, they'll be at the bottom of your inventory list. Also, if you are referring to the items you extracted from, those are destroyed.

I meant equipment.

I know what normally happens as I play alchemists lots. In this instance though the equipment disappeared but no gems were created. So it is a bug.

This is definitely a bug. I just tried extracting gems from two items in Dreadfall, and no gems are created. I've extracted hundreds of gems and then suddenly, nothing happens. The output screen in the game doesn't give you the name of any gem. It just says ""XXX casts Extract Gems" and doesn''t have the normal "You extract: ....".

The log doesn't put in the normal:

[Log] You extract: #FFFFFF##UID0#emerald#LAST#

as it does when it works.

No errors ? nothing in the log ??

None unfortunately. The screen just says that Extract Gems has occurred, but no gems are created. It only happens very occasionally.
