[b23] Skeleton Bug?

I had a successful lvl 21 Skeleton Rogue and then dropped into Zigur, only to discover that the Antimagic quest means I can't wear the Cloak of Deception ever again! I was attacked by the elite npc in Zigur and quickly killed, much to my annoyance. (Most of my other gear I also couldn't use, like my daggers etc. I only managed to complete the quest by trapping my way with stealth).
I think this is a bug, as there is no warning that this will happen and it destroys an undead character. If it is not strictly a bug, then it is Q@!$%!@$% annoying.
btw, there is a real bug with the alchemist quests, but I think others have reported on this. When I kill a critter that has an ingredient I mostly get an error dialog box pop that I send in.
