[svn2991] No worldmap encounters.

Generic hostile and allied patrols show up, but after spending nearly an hour running in the appropriate places, the quest related encounters never trigger. No lost merchant, lumberjack, or apprentice mage quests for me, or any random dungeon spaws. I watched the stdout live as I wandered the worldmap and didn't see anything especially interesting, but every so often I saw this.

If I understand from previous muckings about, that line should appear when the engine attempts to generate a worldmap encounter, like the game is looking for a value on an encouter table somewhere.

Given the nastiness of the encounters in the East (Orc Patrols) count your blessings and move on hastily!

Interesting all the same.

A clarification:

Random hostiles like orc groups in the east or bears and wolves in the west show up. It's the encounters that I want that aren't here. No lumberjack villiage, lost merchant quest etc...

I can also verify there are no random world map quests in svn 2987. Got to level 30 with no such encounters. I guess this is the chance you take with svn.
