Firestorm against you

If you cast firestorm as an alchemist and then you leave the map, if you re-enter you will be damaged from it untill it disperses.
Yes, I've noticed similar behaviour with other cloud spells.
It seems, that when you take the stairs out, time completely freezes on the level you left behind. Monsters' talent and infusion/rune cooldowns don't go down either. It is exploitable, and should be changed.
