ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Is that supposed to happen? I thought the Shaloren camp was the starting zone for Shaloren, with exclusive quests. When I play a non-yeek, I cannot access the yeek starting area (it's surrounded by water and the only access is blocked from the halfling ruins).
If you go inside the dungeons and kill the bosses there, you complete a "quest" that has absolutely no meaning to a non-elf...

It's not a bug

Anyone can do these areas - it's intentional.

Ah ok... it just sounded that there was something missing, as you only get the quest Echoes of Spellblaze once you kill one of the uniques in the zones. But it's probably the same as undead/yeeks getting the beginner's quest once they kill Bill...
