ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I have an alchemist whose Spell / Stone Alchemy and Spell / Staff Combat masteries have dropped to 0.70. He's rescued two lost alchemists in the past, and chose +1 Imbue Item and +1 Channel Staff. (He already had at least one level in each skill when he chose these). Could that have lowered his masteries?

Looking at the code the escort quests can and do lower the category masteries. Working on a fix now...
