ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Just starting a game in the Infinite Dungeon makes the game slow down to a crawl.
From the IRC it seems I am not the only one to encounter that. I had found that simply changing the Graphic Mode (Just the act of changing it, even if you change it to the same graphic mode you already use) makes the lag go away completely.

Really ? hum interresting.
And saving reloading ?

Reloading a saved game seems to help the issue.

If you die and choose to restart the character, the lag comes back, but solvable with the above methods.
