ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

So suddenly when starting to play today I can't go into any shops nor access the quest log. I also get stuck while Quitting (after "Saving done."), having to force quit the app. Everything else seems to work fine (didn't try to go into a dungeon). There's no error when trying to go into shops but the quest log gives this one:

Not sure if it's a single problem or multiple ones. I just killed Bill and went back to town go finish the scrying for newbies q. Now wanting to sell all my stuff.

It is really weird all your quests have lost their description it seems.
Did anything special happen before ?

Thanks. The quest log and quitting works now, but I still can't enter any store.

I don't think I did anything special...
I went back to town after lvl 3 of trollshaws iirc. Then when I went back down I found one Summertide Phial on lvl 3 (my first artifact), and another one on lvl 4. Then I killed Bill and use the rod to get back up and finish the scrying q. I think I went into a store after this just fine. Then I saved and exited (also worked fine).

A bit later I loaded the game to try to find more info on the War hound not working. All I did was trying to summon the war hound a few times. That's the first time I noticed the game got stuck at quitting (after saving done). So I just chose T-Engine => Quit T-Engine and the program closed. After that it was broken.
