I'm pretty certain this is a flaw in the logic, but I was able to get past Aeryn before doing her quest by using targeted Phase Door to move her out of my way. That gave me full access to the town she was protecting, before doing anything else in her part of the world.

I'm guessing you can't get the locations of the Prides without doing the damn spider caves tho--too bad, as those caverns are probably more deadly than the rest of the current dungeons, except maybe Vor Armory.

Then I'm doing it wrong, because I can handle the spiders (usually) but then I always die in whichever Pride I try to enter. First one. First time. Every time.

Same, greycat. I have never died in the spider cave, but I always die in my first pride.

Think the first part of the Pride levels is the hardest bit - things can always get away from you, but the start is trickiest as all the wakeful baddies pile towards you. If you're prepared to be careful (or jammy) about summoners and a bit cheesy with the stairs, this leaves the start of Level 1 as the toughest gig. Arrive there with no bad red dots on your radar and being a church mouse might break into the level without tears. FWIW have found the Mushroom Pride way most dangerous for all but tank characters - there's little brown exocet-missiles waiting all over the place to launch themselves at your glass cannon and show what happens to glass when it's given a good hard smack.

Yeah grushnak pride is supposed to be hardest
