[beta 12b] Minor bugs and issues

Some minor bugs and issues.
  • 1) Diggers don't work yet?
    2) Boots of uncanny dodging don't show the increased ranged defence bonus in the description
    3) Slotted belts should have a description; perhaps there are some similar issues with the other cloaks/gloves/belts
    4) If an item has a prerequisite, the green/red colour of the prerequisite is also used for the description
    5) A quasit levels as a caster according to the code (should be warrior)
    6) The diamond gem has still 2x CUN+5 (it was fixed for the other gems)
    7) Bloodrage (temporary increased strength) should be deactivated before entering the wilderness map (did not check it)

Diggers work. You just need to (u)se them... and repeat a few times (took me 4 tries in Trollshaws to cut down a tree for example). Sounds like digging is implemented like in Angband with a % chance of actually digging something.

Well, I tried several times to dig different tiles, and it never worked. The log only shows

I've successfully dug several things, trees, sandwalls, and stone. It just may take three or four uses of your pickaxe.

Where are you trying to dig? I remember not having much luck digging in the maze -- not even with a Dig spell.

You won't be able to dig in the Maze it is all impassable walls.

Maybe what is needed is better feedback for the player, a log message suggesting how (un)likely a particularly dig will be.

Digging worked with a new character on another computer - the problem lies probably in my self-compiled version.

Just spent a lot of time (30+ goes) attempting to dig in carn dum, to no effect.

This is with a pick axe of the badger (dig speed 18 turns). DIgging into rocky mountain.
