Scroll of controlled phase door takes two turns?

In combat and in trouble, I decided I needed to get away, and I wanted to be sure of where I was going, so I read a scroll of controlled phase door. The targeting cursor appeared, then, the uruk-hai berserker next to me killed me. Blood of life kicked in, and I was then able to teleport away..

No but using an item consumes the turn immediately :/
I plan to change taht but it's not that easy

For now just consider that the monster killed you while you were reading the scroll...

I forgot about this bug and died... luckily I had the blood of life, I guess...
