Mouse Interface Consuming Actions

Not sure if this is the same issue that was posted here http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=22540 but I wanted to repost this in it's own thread so it gets seen if it's not and doesn't slip into the next beta.

Right clicking to pull up the action menu sometimes consumes a turn. I've noticed creatures move, cooldowns go down a turn, etc. This is somewhat intermittent, which is to say, if I right click, hit escape, right click, hit escape, I might lose 1 turn, I might lose 2, I might not lose any at all. But it does happen frequently.

The log for this is posted at the end of that earlier thread but no errors showed up.

Actually it was happening only with left-clicks here; I never experienced it with right-clicks, so it sounds new to me.

I've seen monsters move (partial turns being consumed??) when I simply move the mouse across the game window, without even clicking. This was with a whole bunch of monsters on the screen, projectiles flying everywhere, etc.

My gut feeling is that after you press a key or something, the game queues up an action which is going to take X time. Meanwhile, other actors (monsters, projectiles) also have scheduled events that will take more or less time. Then the game resolves monster events and your event according to whichever ones need to happen next. And, somehow, moving the mouse causes a few events that are CLOSE to their time to resolve prematurely. But that's just my guess, and may be totally out of touch with reality.

If you stop moving the mouse do the updates stop? And if you start moving the mouse again do the updates start again? I have seen cases where a lot of visual effects etc. are going on and the display update is a bit clunky (one thing moves, then another, then another, etc), and I want to make sure you are not mistaking this more mouse induced action.

I thought this was the case as well but it's not what's happening.

It seems as though right-clicking consumes energy, just less then a whole actions worth.

In other words, I can sit in one spot and right click, hit escape, right click, hit escape, etc. etc. and watch a few turns pass before I ever do anything.

What kind of characters do you notice that on ?
Maybe, by any chances, all of them had some equilibrium talents ?

Yarr.

Was playing a summoner when I first noticed it and I can't say I've notced it on any non-wilder characters I've played this beta.
