The ghost of an escort quest past, though not passed

So, I randomly decided to check my quest list, and something odd happened.
I get the list up, and see "Into the Darkness" a space below where it ought to be. And then when I try to scroll up, it either refuses to move, or leaves the window altogether. I've a hunch it has something to do with a recently failed escort quest, that somehow the quest hasn't completely left the file, even though it failed. Come to think of it, I'm not sure I recall seeing the portal on that last escort quest...
Here's the the error that pops up every time I try to do it:
Lua Error: /data/quests/escort-duty.lua:244: attempt to concatenate field 'level_name' (a nil value)
