ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Now, it happens I have a good idea what the "tattered paper scrap" I found in level one of the trollshaws is, but not because I got to read it! I picked it up and rested and now it's not in my inventory. Last sign of the paper scrap in my stdout is:

The actual scraps don't stick around, I'm guessing to prevent inventory clutter.

Great that the scraps don't stick around, but the text window should certainly show the text of the scrap and it didn't, at least for me.

But it really does, did the window popup and close automatically ?

I guess I should make it output in the log too with a hint of how to read it again

I definitely did not see a window pop-up. I can't SWEAR it didn't though. However, I can assure you with absolute confidence that it didn't print to my scrolling-text-window. I almost did a screen capture to prove it and then decided there was no point.

Got the scroll two more times (I don't usually do trollshaws) and the first time the window did not pop up and show me the wording of the scroll (though it was in the list of known lore.) However, the second time, I got the pop-up with the text of the scroll.

I saw the scrap text window start to popup on mine, but I was pressing keys and the window disappeared promptly... I did find the lore menu, so I didn't think to post anything, but perhaps the popup shouldn't be closed so easily?

I'll fix those
