ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I've been impressed at how stable the game is thus far. Having said that, I've run into my first issue. I'm on the second level of Tower of Amon Sul with my alchemist. I was finishing off a skeleton archer with bombs and channel staff. Once he died, I had a / mark across my character. I couldn't move at all. Hitting 5 to pass a turn did nothing. When I tried to rest, it said resting, push any key to stop. When I push a key minutes later, it says I've rested for 1 turn. I cannot use any of my special abilities except for drinking potions. I did use a scroll of phase door to get out of that spot, but I still cannot move anywhere (tried with keyboard and mouse). I've gotten in and out of the game several times, with no luck. Any ideas or am I just out a character?

Pretty sure it's fixed, though your current character is pretty much done for.

The next time that happens force quit tome4 with ctrl-alt-delete or something so it won't save, and then just play from your last save.

Thanks, I hadn't seen your post. Makes me sad about losing the character. I was using beta 8 when it happened, I'm guessing it will be fixed in 9 then.
