Shopping + Monster HP

Hi, haven't been on the board for a long while but was elated to see t4 and excited to try it. Thought I would do what I could to spot bugs in t4. In beta 5, two that I've noticed:
Shops
In shops, when I click on something and get the prompt confirming if I want to buy something, the amount is deducted from my purse automatically, regardless of whether I buy it or not. In other words, if I click no, I lose the gold and the item does not show up on my inventory. This has happened with every character I have created.
Monster HP
I'm not sure if this is meant to be, but in beta 4, I could check with the examine key how much HP monsters have, and in beta 5 the monster's HP just stays at the original max.
Also, this is not really important, but I noticed that if I have multiple attacks, I will generally "miss" after I kill a monster if I kill it in the middle of a string of blows. This was both in beta 4 and 5
Keep up the good work!
(PS: Using Windows 7 64-bit, if that helps)

There's definitely something messed up with monster info displays. I hadn't quite pinned it down, which is why I hadn't filed a bug report here, but I'll piggyback onto yours since you're noticing it too.
There are quite a few symptoms. For example, if I'm fighting two monsters with an Archer, I'll shoot one of them and kill it. Then I'll press the shoot hotkey again, and it will target the second monster, and an info box will pop up, but that info box may still contain the info from the first monster. Or it may not.

Yeah I made a cache to not recompute it too often, but it's far too less often than needed :/

I imagine darkgod will fix this soon, but for beta 5 gameplay purposes, you can manually refresh the monster's HP by looking elsewhere (e.g. using shift-up) and then looking at the monster again (shift-down).

Thanks for the tip!
Yea, the monster thing didn't bother me as much, but the losing gold when I don't buy something really hurts, especially in the beginning of the game. Any workarounds as of yet for that (other than not making mistakes, of course =)

Beta6: shops are still not completely fixed. If I start to sell something, I still get free ID for it. Also, if I say No to selling it, I still get the gold for it. It doesn't show up in my left pane display until I leave the store, but I'm definitely still able to get unlimited free gold this way.
They're partly fixed, though. So that's a start.

And similarly it asks you if you want to buy something and takes the money even if you say no.

Another nitpick: when it pops up a quantity window, with the maximum value already filled in, and you press Backspace a few times to get rid of it, it doesn't actually erase the numbers. You can still type the numbers you want. The Backspace "works" in terms of what happens when you type stuff later, but the screen isn't updated.

Maybe it's meant to be commentary on modern capitalism and the failure of the US Supreme Court to enforce contract rights under Rent-a-Center v. Jackson.

Could the confirmation in shops be made optional (changeable in the <Esc> menu)? I frankly prefered the old way, it takes a lot less time to sell a lot of things after a "dungeon crawl" without confirmation, and using arrow keys on the keyboard there's really no problem with choosing the wrong object.
