ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

The ToME game sounds quite fun, but I have been unable to properly play it because almost all of the menus have game braking graphical errors. The main T-Engine 4 menu has all of it's buttons shifted up one and the top most one is invisible while the space where the bottom 'Exit' button used to be has the graphical errors I will mention. The only working menu's were the character creation menus......

notice the multicolored noise. Those are the graphical errors I speak of.

How can I fix this!?

what OS are you? vista 64bit?

and do you have a graphics card? if yes, what is it?

*Facepalm* I can't believe I forgot that!
OS: Windows XP Home Edition
Graphics Card: I'm not sure... this is a very old computer and all I can see listed under the Device Manager is Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller, which I'm going to assume means I don't have a dedicated card....

Did you resize the window ?

No, but when I do resize the window most sections turn white.
