ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I backed up my savefile before walking into the ambush as I was worried about bugginess.
Spoilers below!








On my first try, I managed to kill them all. The boss never rushed me, so it was no harder than in beta 1. But afterwards, I couldn't take the stairs out and the mage portal to town was disabled, so I was permanently stuck.

On my second try, I let the boss kill me. I died. My best guess is that he hit me with an ability that did two attacks in the same round. The first one killed me, so the game rezzed me with one point of health. Then it registered the second attack, and I died. I think I remember seeing a message saying that I was surprised to find myself alive and the staff had been taken, even though I was dead.

On my third try, it worked right. The orcs left me with one health, and I went to Minas Tirith where I was informed that I was a winner. I was expecting to go to Moria next, but the game never mentioned it and I could never find any entrance. Is that working as intended? I was really hoping to give Moria a shot!

Keep up the good work! I can't wait for beta 3.

Where is the save file in this game? I'm not into scumming, but I'd like to be able to save copies when I report bugs so that if any bug does interest people, I can show it to them even if the character has already moved on and died.

Ahh thanks you are surely right about the 2 attacks thingie that is probably what causes it to bug.
I'll fix it.
Btw please stop killing this poor ukruk ... you used the tidal wave/Freeze him to death method ?
How the hell can you surviev hm plsu the level 50 escrot, comprised of some archers ? !
