ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I've got a character stuck on the main map.

He can't move - he was encumbered when he left the last area.

You can't drop items on the main map (or activate any of them)

He can't go back into the last area as that disappeared (The trapped quest, which I guess is appropriate)

Ideas?

heh, I was going to say drink potions, but you cant do that I think... then I thought about a spell, but you cant do that either, so it looks like you are dead, but yeah this should be fixed. (no stairs while overburdened maybe)

Are you sure? This means you could --- with enormous enough effort --- transport all items out of the dungeon. (Get them one for one, place them on the stairs, pick them all up before leaving, drop them all on the stairs of the next level, etc.)

I kinda figured you'd allow dropping items on the main map, with a pop-up stating that 'warning: this item will be destroyed'

I actually like register's idea better. I highly doubt you'll be losing anything you can't get back easy enough if such a thing does occur.

Just to note, I forgot about this and then found out the hard way that it isn't fixed yet.

Just encountered this one. Nasty.

I like the idea of simply having anything you drop on the world level be destroyed.
