Enemies generated on stairs are buggy

Enemies generated directly on stairs when going down to a new level are untargettable, and can attack the character without retaliation. It seems that once they move off the stairs, they act normally. This is especially a problem with stationary monsters such as molds, which seem to be invisible on the stairs, yet continue to release spores.
