ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I've been reading through some Sun Paladin guides, and a lot recommend taking Physics/Chemistry in the build. For the life of me I can't find the answer to this question...

My question is, how would I unlock those categories on a Sun Paladin? I know I'd have to use a point to activate the category at lvl 10 (or later), but Physics and Chemistry aren't default generic talents for a Sun Paladin when creating the character.

Is the only option to get lucky on an escort quest? Or are there Physics / Chemistry trainers?

Yes. No other way to to it. Make sure you've unlocked tinker escorts, naturally.

That's a bummer but thanks for confirming!

Not sure if the Last Hope Archer Training addon also lets you use tinkers - it does say you can get training for steamsaws, but I'm not sure what that means.

those are min-maxers guides and Sun Paladin is one of the stronger classes on their own, you don't have to care for tinkers :/

nothing wrong with a bit of min maxing

There are mods that allow you to choose your escort, whether all of them or just the first one. I recommend the latter if you're interested in Tinkers.
