ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Hi,

I've just recently joined this forum and I'm fairly new to the game so I'm not exactly sure if this is the correct sub-forum to post my inquiry, and I apologize for that. I'm quite enjoying the game since it is a great game for sub-par low-end toaster that I've been using for years now so kudos to darkgod.

As what I've titled my post, I'm currently stumped on how to unlock tinkers since I've been doing what the wiki says and yet no pop-ups appear that I've unlocked the class, am I missing something here?
I'm not sure if this is caused by an add-on called adventure party but it didn't've any problems unlocking the psyshot, so it might not be the cause? And speaking of add-ons, I'm aware of the unlock all race and classes add-on, and I'm not fairly interested in that since it breaks the spirit of achieving something and looking forward to try that unlockable in the next run.

I do not know how long I've been up since discovering this game...

I'm confused by your question, do you own the Embers of Rage DLC? That's necessary to play Tinkers.
You start with two Tinkers unlocked which you must first play in the Embers of Rage campaign to unlock in the original campaign, you can select it in the character creation screen right under the name input.

Woah, just realized that the ascii art is all messed up... this is embarrassing...

Well, anyway, I've recently unlocked the tinker class for the main campaign, and it seems that playing as an orc sawbutcher/gunslinger did the trick. I'm not certain though, 'cuz, I did not use the player party add-on in these runs, gonna test it out more; but atleast now I am able to play as a tinker in the vanilla campaign.
