ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Been happily playing tome for a while and decided to pick up the DLC. added them all on steam through the profile page on te4 and now I can't get it to reopen properly, just keeps looping through the various splash screens. Same thing happens if i just run it from the .exe in the install folder.

Looked in the debug file and can see one error repeating a few times, any idea whats causing this and is this error whats causing the looping?

turn off all the DLC and it works (although i bizarrely still get the choice of starting a Writhing One even if that DLC is not turned on).

retick them all, and the looping starts again.

have uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same problem.

Check for permissions and firewall issues.
