Escorts infinite dungeon

Hey,
since 1.6 there should spawn escorts in the infinite dungeon between lv5 and lv40.
Can anyone confirm this is happening (in 1.7.2)?
Sadly i managed to die (to Urkis :_:) in lv15, but until then no escort appeared. My second char ist currently in lv14 and also no escorts appeared.
Maybe iam just impatient but i thought there would a few spawn in the lower levels, like in the AoA campain.
