ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

This is a dumb question because I think I already know the answer. Is it still possible to unlock the necromancer class if you didn't read the lore before killing Celia? And if not, is it possible to revert to the save just before I killed Celia, so that I can go read the lore in the library before I do it? I'll even edit the save files if I have to.

I've spent so much time trying to unlock this class. After failing to kill Celia with a Bulwark (and losing the game), I built a rogue with one purpose in mind, killing Celia and unlocking the necromancer class. I annihilated her the second time around, but I was gutted when I saw that you have to read the lore first. I just want to play as a necro. I'm so disheartened that I don't even want to roll another character to do it again...at least for a while. I figured I would post on here and hope there is another way. Thanks for reading.

If you wanna edit the save, might as well just unlock it manually at that point.

You can also get an addon that bypasses unlocks if you want.

You're probably aware, but you don't need to read all the necro lore each game.

I thought you still need to read all 4 necro lore before killing Celia for the first unlock, i.e. before you could start creating Necro characters?

Or easier, just play the 1.7 betas, and pray that DG has it unlocked for you..

This was also my understanding. I already had all 4 in the library and killing her didn't unlock it. I don't mind unlocking the classes; this was just a real disappointment, as I thought I already had everything. Do I always need the add-on to keep the class unlocked? I like seeing the new achievements and want to keep that coming. I just feel like this is a special case. I COULD have unlocked it had I known that I needed to read the lore before killing her. If I could go back, I could easily remedy the situation

You just need to access the "Library" first.
The only difficult part is collecting all 4 pieces, which just takes time.

I'm pretty sure you can activate debug/cheat mode and just spawn all of the lore pieces to unlock necro.

go there : C:\Users\[YOURUSERNAME]\T-Engine\4.0\profiles\online\modules\tome
open allow_build.profile with any text editor
add mage_necromancer = true at the end
congrats, necro is unlocked
