I wanna keep playing my 1.6.7 character, but would also like to contribute to the beta, would Installing the 1.7.0 overwrite my 1.6.7 files?
I want to keep playing my "serious" character on the stable version, but make an experimental character for the beta.

Fluff: I'm kind of eager to try this, specially necro rework since I heard the news, but I'm nearing what might be my first victory ever with a nightmare stealth poison rogue. I have been theorycrafting and reading guides since 1.5, and this is my most promising run.
It's still taking me a lot of time, and may take at least a couple of weeks more, since I don't play very fast.

As long as you don't load the save while the game is running the beta module, it should be fine.

Agreed.

Also try to run the beta module from a separate folder, and do NOT use the launcher to make it easier to separate which one is stable and which one is beta.
