Carrying Achievements and Characters over Different Versions

I am currently playing the free version and am considering buying the complete pack on Steam.
Is it possible to transfer my characters and achievements to the Steam version and installation?

characters are saved on your computer so you won't have to do anything to port them.
achievements are saved on your profile, you can push them to steam through a button in your profile on te4.org
note that it also grants steam achievement for all lower difficulties as well. For example, if you played normal/roguelike and reached level 10, when you'll sync chievos with steam you'll get the level 10 normal/roguelike chievo AND the level 10 normal/adventure chievo AND the level 10 exploration mode chievo.

Also, once you have bought the Steam version, you could activate the Steam cloud save feature to save all of your characters in the, well, Steam cloud.
That way you could change your computer without having to copy your character saves to the other one(s) as Steam will take care of this.
..although strangely the unlocked splash/loading page was not saved on Steam cloud..

Related on Achievements... Should the te4 user profile page show all achievements earned by the characters? Wondering 'cuz I have achievements earned and showing on character pages that don't show on front profile page. I play mostly offline so don't have any GOG or Steam account issues.
