Starting in 1.67, when looking at equipment the icon that indicates the kind of equipment is no longer there. Is that gone or did I click a button somewhere to make it disappear? I have no idea but it's much harder to search through equipment without them.

that has never been a thing (?) That said, if you want to check what type of thing a randart is, just look at the bottom of the description. There it will say "A cap made out of leather" "A wizard's hat, very pointy" "A pair of iron boots" etc...

It is there for most things but a couple bug out for me (mostly demon seeds).
No idea how or why some bug out, or why those and not others...

Appreciate the responses... but doesn't address the problem and that's clearly on my description.

The issue is in the inventory. All of the items sit in a list and to the left there have always been icons so at a glance, one could tell what category the item was in. This made it easy to ignore all of the equipment that a class would never use. Now those icons are gone and so I have to look at each item individually and that just takes way more time.

I didn't really describe the problem accurately in my initial post and kind of just assumed that it was affecting everyone else or I'd just done something stupid.

You’ve probably disabled framebuffers (under Game Menu → Video Options).
