I didn't get the top half of Telos Staff from the Shade of Telos, can it drop anywhere else randomly?

Also what are the specifics of creating Voice of Telos, I assume you combine it with a white staff and get random egos (how many?). Or can you combine it with a staff that's not white?

Its only the bottom half that you have to get from the Shade. The other parts can drop elsewhere in Maj'Eyal.

As for creating a new staff, it has to be a white staff and it doesn't appear to get any random egos.
It has fixed stats of 30 Spellpower, 15 Spellcrit, 100 Max Mana, +6 Mag, +5 Wil, +4 Cun, +1 Lite, +5% Damage Affinity to everything except Nature and Physical damage, and the +30% damage bonus of the element of your choice (assuming you used a T5 staff).

Yes I just got the top part from tannen as I came to read this. Oh well I already picked my 2nd prodigy.

Are you sure about the random egos? Wiki states "Note: Many of the unspecified statistics are dynamically generated by combining Telos's Staff Crystal with a given staff." and it's in line with imbuing a ring with a gem which then rolls random egos on top.

If it's just that why would anyone ever sac +2 light radius for a staff that weak? That's essentially a green T4-T5 staff (almost). Plus shouldn't you get the imbue stats from the Telos Staff Crystal on top?

edit: tested with debug for science, doesn't roll random egos, doesn't get imbue stats from Telos Crystal. It's truly awful.
