ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

What happens if you have this talent at a level higher than seven when activated? I'm thinking that with the Adept prodigy and maybe using a class talent point or a talent enhancing item (rare as they may be), I could get it to level 9 or something. Would the game crash? Would I turn into the Lich to end all Liches? Would it just get me the abilities as if it was level 7?

I have a level twenty something Necromancer, and I figure I will be able to test this by the weekend.

I'm just curious.

The effects of lich are capped to what's mentioned in the description.

You can go to tometips and click [view source] on any given skill on the bottom right corner to see if it can crit, how it scales etc.
