ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Hi,

I just bought the game on recommendation from a friend.

I tried to fire up the game and I am playing on a 4K monitor.

Initially the displayed texts were really small and I found the option to change the font sizes and could get them to display at a comfortable level.

However, I would have an issue with trying to create a character, and I added a screengrab of what I see (taking out most of the black screen of course).

Can someone give some advice regarding best display settings in the Video Options in terms of Zoom, Font Scale in addition to the Font Size in the Game Options to not have these overtly problematic displays. I would like to know what other people do in the case of using a 4K monitor and displaying texts comfortably for ToME.

The way I have it right now, as it's displayed in the attachment, I cannot even click on Male/Female for those to respond correctly, plus the button overlaps makes it impossible for me to click Cancel.

Assuming Windows:
Undo the Font scaling.
Go to the Compatibility settings for the executable and click on "Change high DPI Settings".
See if you can tweak anything in there to make it work better.
