ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I have accumulated quite a few of these gems that I can apparantly use to imbue items with virtues. I fail to find, however, any artifact, NPC, tool, or hint on how to do so. Does this come later in the game through some quest or am I missing the obvious? thanks

only character with stone alchemy tree can imbue gem

Mindslayer has a talent to destroy a gem to restore psi, or telekinetically wield them.

Tirakai's Maul is a 2h fixed art in which you can put a gem

You can imbue white rings with a gem in Angolwen or white amulet with two gems in the east if you did the relevant quest (need to find the "tome of gems" fixed art)

Most char just transmog them for gold/fortress energy

In addition to the above...

Mindslayers and many Adventurers can also put a gem in their TK slot to gain +X to all stats for the duration.

Golems can be imbued with gems for various effects.

Some gems are used in Tinker recipes.


If you use addons... you can get the New Gems addon which adds two gem-focused races (Sentient Crystal and Prismatic Golem).
