ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I am currently using 1.5.7. In some previous version (I don't remember exactly which), when I hovered over a piece of equipment in my inventory, it showed a comparison to the equipment I am currently wearing. For example: Armor: +8 (+1). Now it seems to be gone. Is there a way to bring it back?

You push a button while hovering the mouse cursor over the new equipment, I think ctrl. It's one of those.
