ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

The character sheet often shows parentheses next to certain stats, either in green with positive numbers or in red with negative numbers. I've attached a couple screenshots in case it's not clear what I'm referring to.

It seems like maybe it's related to equipment I possess that I'm not wearing, or maybe to current statuses? Or maybe something else entirely? I've never quite been able to figure out what these mean.

The numbers in parentheses show the changes since the last time you looked at the character sheet.
Try looking at your... let's say fire resistance, equip a ring of fire, then look at it again, then unequip it and look at it again. That should show it nicely.

Ahh, that makes a lot of sense, and it's super-helpful for seeing how a single piece of equipment changes things. Thanks!
