What are the odds of Meteoric Crash occurring?

Hey there! I'm playing a Doombringer, and looking at Meteoric Crash prodigy for the lulz. I'm curious though: What are the actual odds of the meteor landing? As far as I can find, it just says it "can" happen. If it's a 50% chance, great, I'm keen. If it's 1%, I'm not quite as interested. ;)

Testing in dev-mode reveals that it has a 100% proc chance... when it isn't on cooldown. Assuming one spell per turn, it has around 6.7% proc rate, since it will only take effect once every fifteen turns. It won't trigger if your spell hit kills the target and it WILL trigger on spell based weapon damage like Reavers and presumably Doombringers have. If you're killing every enemy within 2-3 turns and really like stacking fire damage, then Meteoric Crash is probably OK. Otherwise, go for something else, since its uptime is seriously bad.

I'm pretty sure the original question was about the chance for the random meteor event to happen. I don't know the exact chance myself, but from what I've seen, it's quite rare. However, you can also learn Meteoric Crash by seeing the prodigy itself being used. The only enemy I know that has Meteoric Crash is the Vor Pride boss.

Do Shassy's meteors not count as meteors for the purposes of the prodigy? Lame.

Actually, on Linaniil meteor crash quite OP, due to low(even negative) cooldown. Unfortunately, when she is possessed, cooldown became to normal values.

I thought there were a few events in various zones where meteors impact...

Took the prodigy for my Oozemancer and didn't regret it, the aoe damage is strong and the stun is quite nice too for anything that survives it. Can even open up new paths for progress or escape by blasting down the walls.

*BUMP*

Yes, I was looking for this progedy too and went to Vor for it.
But I managed to kill the boss before he cast the meteoric crash spell. :( *DUH*

There is also the Helm of Pain.
But so far I did not see any of those god blessed priests that can summon the boss with the artifact.

Grrr.

Shassy and helm of pain do not give access to the prodigy. Neither do the demonologist skill "rain of fire".

I know the helm gave me acess a few times. No more no less.
One shot with the helm and I had it.

What is Shassy?

Oh really? I guess it's just demo that doesn't work then.

Shassy is the one invoked by the cultists, that drops meteors on you and the helm after she dies

Thx.
That is the one I wish I could find.
