ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Going to try to do the "kill an enemy while at or below 1hp" thing, as I'm now level 30 (as a paradox mage) and just realized this requirement. I'm trying to figure out the way to do this with least risk of accidentally dying. I'm assuming it's going to involve cornering some weak enemy and micromanaging with a heroism infusion. Any tips?

Be careful not to strip your heroism last second with an AoE disintegrate. That almost killed me if I recall.

Find a trash mob, get yourself low, pop heroism, get yourself lower (into negative), kill mob while negative andddd that should work.

You can use a town NPC instead of an enemy to do this. Damage yourself to get low HP, use Heroism (or negative life gear), damage yourself again so you have less than 1 life, then kill one of the NPCs in town. Basically no risk.
