ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I REALLY like ToME, and i want to support the god who made it, and in the process get some sweet dlc, but in the dlc page it says that i have to buy the game first to get the dlc, so my question is: being a donator is enough to get the dlc? or do i also have to buy the game on steam (or other medium)?

You can buy the DLC with coins you get by donating on the te4.org website.
Just make sure you log in first.
