Re: Cross-version characters/character conversion

Greetings all,
I have a few questions for you folks, because I didn't receive a clear answer when I asked via IRC.
1.) When you create a character on a certain version, then update the game to the next version, how is your character handled? Is directly converted, taking care of any retroactive changes that may be in effect due to balance/etc changes?
2.) If conversion takes place for a class or race that had changes applied to it, do you reset the points for the affected talents? If not, how would someone reset a talent if this were the case?
I'm mainly asking this, as there's a new update on the horizon as many of you realize (1.5.0). I'm currently using 1.4.9, and will be trying the Skeleton race out, for example, and want to be sure I won't be wasting my time, if any retroactive changes won't be applied when updating/converting my character to 1.5.0 when it's released.
If anyone can decisively answer these questions, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.
